OUR COURSES

FULLTIME HAIRDRESSING STUDIES

(18 Months)

This is our most popular option, and offers the candidate full-time studies, where Knowledge, Practical and Workplace Experience will be conducted Through HAH for 18 months. After completion, the candidate may complete the remaining Workplace experience(18 months) at a registered salon of their choice. The total of R125 000 can be paid in easy terms as follow:

PART-TIME HAIRDRESSING STUDIES

(Pre-determined dates over the course of 18 months)

Candidates who wish to complete their workplace component in an off-site salon whilst studying, will benefit from this option. HAH will work closely with salon owners to monitor candidate progress. Candidates will visit HAH for 1 week at a time, roughly every 10 – 12 weeks. The Total of R75 000 for this course can be paid in easy payment terms:

Please note that the Registration fee will cover your QCTO registration as well as your technical toolkit, this amount is non-refundable once the kit has been ordered. All chemicals and Assessments are included, but take note that re-assessments will be paid for additionally.
The EISA (trade-test) will be charged additionally and is NOT included in class fees.

Andreas Wolmarans

Lecturer and Assessor

Andreas completed his Apprenticeship with Gary Rom Hairdressing whilst being awarded the dux scholar of the year at Serwalo hair academy in 2010. Andreas has obtained an international qualification followed by 3 national trade tests (Ladies Caucasian Trade test, Gents Barbering trade test, Afro textured hair Trade test) as well as being a NAMB registered Assessor and Moderator.

Willem Breedt

Lecturer and Assessor

Will Breedt, Salon Owner of @Will Hairdressing for more than 22 years. With a BA(ED) degree he has a passion for learners and ongoing development in hairdressing. He has influenced the industry by being chairperson of the Education Committee of the National Bargaining Council(NBC) for Hairdressing Cosmetology and Beauty and served as President of the EOHCB. Both Andreas and Will have also been involved as judges in the national EOHCB hairdressing championships. Combined they have more than of 35 years' experience and learners are sure to benefit from the best education this industry has to offer!

Frequently Asked Questions

When studying the Full Hairdressing course, it will take 18 months to complete study modules. Thereafter an additional 18 months (minimum) must be completed in the workplace. After roughly 36 months, when all modules are complete, the learner may apply for the trade test.

Learners should ALWAYS ensure that the training institute has the necessary accreditation from the QCTO. Also ask the relevant questions in regards to maximum learners per class to suit your individual needs, and ask for the lecturer's credentials(Curriculum Vitae)

The successful applicant should be in possession of a grade 12 certificate. Hair Academy Hub may require for the prospective learner to perform a dexterity test to determine the ability of the learner.
